Preparation of "lox"

Baking and marinating carrots take to make overnight. First, heat the oven to 200 ° C. Take the bread form. Wash the carrots clean, but do not peel them. Then place some sea salt at the bottom of the mold. Add the washed carrots to the mold and coat with sea salt. Place the mold in the oven for 45 minutes. Remove the mold with the cloths from the oven and allow the mold and carrots to cool for 10 minutes. At the same time, prepare the marinade. Put salt, yeast, chopped nori, oil, soy sauce and dill in a jar or a bag. Stir well. Take the carrots out of the mold. Peel the carrots and then use a fillet knife to cut into thin slices. Place the slices in the refrigerator with the marinade for 8 hours or up to 24 hours. The longer they are in the marinade, the stronger the flavor.


Cashew cream

There are two ways to do this. You can soak the nuts for 8 hours or up to 24 hours. Another option would be to boil them for 10 minutes. Then, when the nuts are soaked or cooked, add them to the food processor. Add salt, lemon juice, and nutritional yeast. Puree the nuts thoroughly so that only the cream remains. It takes about 5 minutes and you can occasionally add a little water to make the cream more fluid. When the cream is ready, place it in a separate bowl.


Sandwich making

Toast slices of whole-grain bread. Take a slice of toast and spread a tablespoon of nut cream on it. Place a few slices of carrot "lox" on top. Season with capers and lemon pepper.
