Valentine's Day in Estonia:

*It was not until the late 1980s that this old celebration spread to Estonia through Finland and received the features of Valentine's Day.

* The purpose of Valentine's or Friends Day is to remember people who are close to us at all, although initially it is dedicated to love and a loved one, who is given a feeling or gift. In Europe and America, it is being promoted as a day of love, engagement, and wedding.

* We sell specially decorated sweets and smaller themed gifts on Valentine's Day stores. The practice of giving flowers to friends is also emphasized. Along with self-made cards and messages, you will find a flood of red-pink themed cards in all stores. Recently, there is a wide variety of e-cards on the Internet, some of which are quite humorous and can be used to greet distant friends. A new practice is, for example, the Valentine's Day Card Contest launched by Postimees in Estonia.

* Valentine's Day flower is traditionally a red rose, although we are also given roses, tulips, daffodils and carnations of a different color. Recipe for 14 Almarellos


Ingredients:

100 g coconut flakes

60 g condensed coconut milk

14 almonds


Preparation:

Take the blender and add in half of the coconut flakes. Crush the flakes until you get the coconut flour. Then add the coconut flour, remaining coconut flakes, and condensed coconut milk into the bowl. Mix well.

Wet your hands and take a little bit of Amarello mass into your hands and add almond in the middle. Shape into balls using your fingers and then shape with palms in circular motions. Add the balls to the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. A sweet mouthful for Valentine's Day to a friend, partner or yourself.
