5 Simple Tips on How to Make Vegan Cookies

Most non-vegan cookies contain eggs and dairy products. So how do you make cookies that everyone can enjoy? It's simple, you just need to replace these products with alternatives. Here are five good tips for making wonderful vegan cookies.

1. The best egg substitute

The most widely used products are sesame seeds soaked in water and ripe bananas. To find out which substitute is best for your vegan cookies you need to experiment a bit. From my own experience, I can say that if I want stronger vegan cookies, I use sesame seed infusion. When making soft muffin-like cookies, I use crushed ripe bananas. In addition, the egg can be replaced with jam, chia seeds, aquafaba and many other wonderful alternatives. Improvise and you'll soon find the perfect vegan cookie recipe.

2. Butter, an ingredient found in almost all cookies.

Butter is not used in the preparation of vegan foods. Margarine would seem to be a good alternative. Since many manufacturers use hydrogenated oils in margarine, which can be harmful to our bodies, this is not the best solution. However, coconut fat is a good helper. It can be replaced with butter in the recipe for one. Another option would be to use oil. The amounts depend on the recipe, but since the oil is in liquid form, at least half the amount should be considered.

3. A cookie is tastier when it is sweet.

It seems like an issue that should not be addressed, because sugar is completely vegetable. Fortunately, the sugars found in Estonia are really 100% vegan friendly. There are countries where this is not the case. But if you gave up using white sugar, what would be a good alternative? There are many replacements today. Personal favorites include maple syrup, dates, cinnamon, coconut flakes and raisins. Stevia and erythritol have also been added to the shelves of the store. When making cookies for your vegan friend, keep in mind that honey is also not a vegan-friendly product.

4. Herbal milk replacers. The best option would be to take herbal drinks without added sugar. The soy drink is closest in consistency to cow's milk. Coconut milk has a firm and thick consistency, but gives the cookies a coconut flavor. I consider oat drinks to be a personal favorite, because oats are sweeter in themselves. In addition, oatmeal is very easy to prepare. To do this, you need a cupful of oatmeal, a blender and water. Add the oats to the blender, pour in two cups of water and blender. Drain the liquid through a sieve into another container. The oat drink is ready. If you don't have that much time or bother, you can find a variety of good oat drinks in the store. Replacements are for one with cow's milk.

5. Replace whipped eggs with aquafaba. Aquafaba is an infusion of canned beans. It is mainly recommended to use a soak of canned chickpeas and white beans. The liquid should be frothed until it is airy and light. It takes 3-5 minutes in the food processor. Acts both as an egg substitute and as a substitute for whipped egg whites. The taste is neutral, so you don't have to worry about the cookies becoming bean-flavored. A good alternative for making meringue.
